In A. Ya. Abrahamyan’s collection, A. V. Fonvizin is represented by his watercolor works. As it is known, the artist went to watercolor for a very long time and came to it at the age of 45 years already fully developed master.
With his interest in watercolors, Arthur Fonvizin forms himself as a portrait artist. His watercolor portraits make him a great success. And his models are often actresses and ballerinas. He inspiredly paints their poetic portraits.
One of the works of the master of watercolor portrait is presented at Yerevan Museum of Russian Art. This is a portrait of theater critic Tatyana Borisovna Knyazevskaya.
In Professor Abrahamyan’s collection there are also two more watercolors by Arthur Vladimirovich Fonvizin - “Lake in the Forest” and “Oriental Tale,” created in 1940.
