Yevgeny Yevgenyevich Lansere - book graphic artist and painter, monumentalist and theater artist.
He was the son of the talented sculptor Yevgeny Lansere, the nephew of the eminent and multifaceted figure of Russian culture Alexander Benois.
After studying in Paris, he returned to Petersburg and became a member of the St. Petersburg “World of Art” srtistic association.
One of Lansere’s inspirations was the Caucasus, which unfolded in front of the artist in a widely, diverse and insightful way.
“In the Mountains” – that is the name of one of Lansere’s works, painted in oil on cardboard, presented at the Yerevan Museum of Russian Art. In front of the viewer - the Caucasian mountain panorama with horsemen posing for the artist in the foreground.
The painting “Giresun,” created by mixed technique on paper, depicts seashore and a calm turquoise sea with small boats.
Yevgeny Lansere’s works from Professor Abrahamyan’s collection are landscapes created during his travels of the 1920s under the direct impression of real nature.
