V. Shevchenko is a painter and graphic artist, art theorist and teacher.<br>He joined the group of one of the founders of the Russian avant-garde, Mikhail Larionov and his wife Natalia Goncharova. They become the organizers of the \u201cDonkey Tail\u201d artistic group and its eponymous exhibitions. It was a group of neo-primitive artists. <br>Still life of Alexander Shevchenko from prof. Abrahamyan\u2019s collection consists of traditional objects for artists of the early 20<sup>th<\/sup> century &#8211; vases, plates, bottles, fruits and bread. <br>A small painting \u201cLaundresses\u201d is a version of the painting of 1917 \u201cLandscape with Laundresses,\u201d stored at the State Tretyakov Gallery. <br>In the late 1920s and early 1930s, as a result of the artist\u2019s travels, his work was enriched by new, oriental motifs.<br> A.V.
