Lansere was her maiden name. Serebryakova was a very distinctive artist. She painted in the way her soul led. In her work there are captivating simplicity and clarity, poetic approach to the world and endless charm of femininity. She loved the beauty of simple things, the human figure and her native nature. And the artist\u2019s favorite themes are peasant labor, nude female model, ballet, self-portraits. Throughout her work, she repeatedly turned to the self-portrait genre, working in various techniques. <br>\u201cSelf-portrait\u201d by Z. Serebryakova from the collection of Yerevan Museum of Russian Art is painted with tempera on paper. What exactly this self-portrait of the artist expresses, we leave to you to decide, dear viewer. <br>Zinaida Serebryakova\u2019s daughter, Tatyana, studied ballet. And the artist herself showed a keen interest in this art. During the days of ballet performances, she spent much time behind the curtains of the Mariinsky Theater, making endless sketches, as a result of which she created a series of this famous theater\u2019s ballerinas\u2019 portraits. <br>On August 24, 1924 Z. Ye. Serebryakova left for France. She hoped to return, but fate decreed otherwise. She remained in Paris for the rest of her life and died there on September 19, 1967 at the age 83. Her works rightfully have entered the gold fund of Russian art. <br>Let u add that the \u201cRussian period\u201d of Zinaida Serebryakova\u2019s creative life is the most interesting and is most powerful. <br> Z.
